Welcome to the WebPainter 2 Demo. This Read Me file contains information regarding your WebPainter 2 Demo software.
INSIDE THE WEBPAINTER 2 DEMO FOLDER YOU WILL FIND:
1) WebPainter 2 Demo Application
The fully functional (FAT Binary) demo version of the WebPainter 2 application will run on any Macintosh.
2) This Read Me file and License Agreement
The Read Me as well as the License Agreement for WebPainter 2 and associated files.
3) WebPainter 2 PDF Manual Folder
This folder includes the Adobe Acrobat PDF version of the WebPainter 2 manual. If you do not already have the Acrobat reader for PDF files, you can download it for free from the Adobe Web site (http://www.adobe.com).
4) Samples Folder - This folder contains 4 items
a. Sample Web sites - If you're not sure about how to use animations on your Web site, we have created some sample sites for you to see how they can be used.
b. Sample Animations - You can use these animations to practice using WebPainter.
c. Hip Clips Demo Pack - A few samples of our award winning animated clip art. Hip Clips Volume I is available for purchase for only $49.95 USD, a savings of $20.00 over our SRP of $69.95, and includes over 250 animations for you to use on your Web site.
d. Tutorial - We have created an easy to use tutorial for you to get started with WebPainter 2. Just follow the instructions and you will be animating in no time. This is also a Acrobat PDF file, you must have the reader to view it.

ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS FOR WEBPAINTER 2 DEMO
The WebPainter 2 Demo is fully functional, except that it will not save or export any of your animation. It is meant to be an evaluation copy only. If you decide to purchase WebPainter 2, you can enter a serial number into the demo that will unlock the application and allow you to save your animations. Upon purchasing WebPainter 2 we will send you the box via mail.
1. Once you have evaluated WebPainter 2 and would like to Register your copy, you have three options to become a registered user. You can call our Order Desk (1-888-8THE-HIP) and register with your credit card or mail/fax your order in directly to Totally Hip Software. If you need more information you can open the Ordering Information folder and access the Fax and Mail Forms along with info on our toll-free number (1-888-8THE-HIP). You can also find this information in the application itself, just select the Register button from the opening splash screen and you will see three easy options to order.
2. Upon processing the order, the order desk will give you a unique Serial Number to enter. Make sure you copy this number correctly.
3. To enter this serial number, select the "Register" button from the opening splash screen (When you first open WebPainter 2 Demo).
4. The following dialog will have five buttons. Select the "Enter Serial Number" button and you will see the following dialog box.
a. Enter your Name
b. Enter your Company Name if applicable
c. Enter the serial number that you receive from our order desk
 
5. After you have entered all the information correctly, the WebPainter 2 Demo application will convert to a fully functional version without all the registration dialog boxes.
WebPainter 2 Online Registration
Once you have purchased the application you should Register with us directly on-line through your Web browser. You must have an internet connection to use this feature. Just connect to: http://www.totallyhip.com/forms/wpregform.html

INCREASING WEBPAINTER'S MEMORY REQUIREMENTS
The WebPainter 2 Demo will have a fixed memory allotment of 4026 K. Many tasks in the WebPainter 2 Demo can benefit from having extra memory available. Even though the WebPainter 2 Demo works well with less memory than 4026 K it is recommended you increase the amount of memory allocated to the WebPainter 2 demo to improve performance. This is especially true if you are opening more than one file at a time, or if you are creating large documents or more than document at a time. To reset the preferred size, hi-lite the WebPainter 2 Demo application icon and use the Command I or use the Get Info menu item from the File menu. Type a larger memory number in the Preferred Size field.
